Foxy Laura's 40th Disco Birthday Party

What an incredible night it was. Laura's disco birthday party was a full on DISCO INFERNO!! Over 60 people showed up to celebrate Foxy Laura's 40th birthday party. The night started out around 6:30 pm. It was like you stepped back in time with all of the fly threads everyone was wearing, the disco tunes playing and the disco lights flashing. Before the night was out, everyone got to see a DYNOMITE synchronized swim performance by none other than the birthday girl herself and my sister, Julie. You would have thought you were watching a variety show from the 70's. Check out this video - 70's Synchronized Disco Inferno. It will definitely be a night to remember. Cheers!

Paint It Up

The guys over at Protective Coating and Remodeling have done a fantastic job making our house look brand new again. It is amazing what a new coat of paint will do. We sure didn't want to have this amazing new addition being the only thing on our house that looked great. Cheers!

Hot Tub Finale

Today we saw a lot of exciting things happening to the hot tub. This is where it all comes together. First off I can't say enough great things about Gary's Pool and Patio. I had spoke to Mike Williams and Art Trevenio with Gary's Pool and Patio about a problem we noticed with one of the valves in the Hot Tub. They had a crew come out and take care of the issue. It is great to be dealing with a company that stands behind their work. They truly want to make sure you have a great experience with them. Today we also had Jesse Whitlock and his crew out finishing up the rock work on the hot tub. All of the rock is in place along with our great water fall that spills into the pool. Ahhh yes time to do some lounging in the hot tub. Cheers!

Keep On A Rockin

Jesse was back out today in full force. The hot tub is really coming together. He should be finished tomorrow with everything. It is coming out exactly how we wanted it. By the end of the day tomorrow, we should be ready to kick back with a cold one chillaxin in the hot tub! Cheers!

Rock On

Jesse Whitlock, of B & J Masonry, came out today and started on the hot tub rock. He is really doing a great job. I also spoke to Mike Williams, of Gary's Pool and Patio, today. They should be out tomorrow to adjust a couple of things on the hot tub. We are going to be in full on hot tub mode before you know it. You know what they say, if the hot tub is a rockin'...you must be at the Fritz house. Hhhmmm...maybe that's just us who say that. Cheers!

Taste of the Tropics

What a perfect spot for a tropical garden. When we were designing the layout of our backyard paradise we knew we need some areas for some more topical flowers and palm trees. One perfect spot is right outside the office window. It won't be long and Laura will be able to lean back in her chair and see a lush tropical garden. Of course we will also be leaning back in those wonderful chairs outside sippin on some cocktails admiring our lush tropical garden. Cheers!

Paradise Cleaning

Today was a day spent cleaing up our backyard paradise. It really is amazing how different things can look when you spend a little time straightening up. With all of the construction going on over the past few months, not to mention our dirt farm, some of the yard has been neglected. The clubhouse was definitely one of those things. I think I found some things in there that had been there for probably 5 years. We might now be looking at our new pool cabana. HHhhmm...I can see some big plans in the future for this clubhouse turned cabana. Cheers!

Power Cleaning

This morning the crew from Protective Coating and Remodeling were here bright and early power washing the house. They are going to start painting next week. We couldn't have this great new addition and not get the rest of the house updated. Cheers!

Coolin Down

We have had quite a bit done over the past couple of days. The office and dining area now have new blinds, and office is now wired for phone and cable. With all of the windows in the office these new blinds will definitely cool things down. Laura has her full set up in place for work. I set up my computer too so we have everything all together. Just a few more things to do to this room and we will be finished. Yes, that could only mean one thing. Time to go sit in the hot tub and have a cocktail. Cheers!

Tune Time

AAAhhhh yeah...it was definitely a Happy Father's Day for me. We had a great day today. I got some outdoor speakers for Father's Day. Luckily enough I ran the speaker wire before they sheetrocked. I was able to get all of the speakers installed today. There is nothing like sittin outside, sippin on a cocktail listenin to some Buffett. Cheers!

Move In Time

Well tomorrow will be the official day. Laura moves into her new office. I got all of her new furniture put together, so she is ready to go. A bonus to all of this new furniture being put together is we are starting to get our garage back. If you will notice the 2 beds next to her desk. Those are for her office mates. Talk about lazy office mates. Unfortunately, occasionally one of them has a gas problem. That reminds me, she probably needs a couple of candles in there. Brian Ritter's crew over at Protective Coating and Remodeling did a FANTASTIC job on the addition. I cannot say enough great things about them. Next week they will be working on the outside of the existing house replacing any wood that needs replacing and painting the entire exterior. Then we will get new gutters put on around the entire house. Then finally the cool decking can be applied to the concrete. The cool decking will be a must this summer. With our 100 degree plus days, it makes for some warm concrete. We don't want anyone setting their cool cocktail on the ground and having the ice melt too fast because the concrete was too hot. Cheers!

Getting Close

Today the painters were back to paint the trim and doors. Probably one more day of touch ups and the addition will be complete. Our french doors also have a hole for the door knob now. Another exciting things was we finally have our hot tub rock work lined up. Jesse Whitlock of B & J Masonry came out and gave us a bid for doing all of the stone work around the hot tub. He will be bringing samples by this week and starting the project sometime next week. We are really excited about that since the rock work and cool decking are the last things that need to be done around the pool. Laura made sure he was clear that the rock around the top of the hot tub needed to be smooth enough so when you set your drink on it that it didn't go falling off. We can't have any cocktails falling off the edge. Cheers!
