I took a bottle of our pool water to the pool store to have it checked. Little did I know I would soon be entering the world of chemistry. I sorta felt like I was going to have to start wearing a white lab coat in order to put in all of the chemicals I needed to add. But before I could add the chemicals I figured it was time to do a thorough pool cleaning. The cleaning I did the other night got all of the big stuff out of the pool. Now it was time to actually clean the pool filter. When I opened the filter up, I realized what a great job it had been doing. It was pretty dirty. Of course there is always some sense of satisfaction of cleaning out a dirty filter and making it nice and white again. After hosing it down and cleaning up all of the equipment, I did another vacuum of the pool. Finally it was time to put in all of the chemicals. Little did I realize this cleaning and chemical mixing extravaganza was going to be a 3 hour project. Not a problem. I am guessing that will be the last time it takes me that long. Cheers!
